Countdown timing

The lead-in before the first shot and the gap between the rest are set separately, for good reason.

The countdown is the part of the booth guests actually feel. Too fast and a group of eight is still shuffling when the shutter fires; too slow and a queue builds. All of it lives in the event’s capture settings, so a wedding and a trade-show booth can be timed differently.

The two countdowns

  1. Open the event, then SettingsCapture.
  2. First shot lead-in is the time before the very first frame. It exists so a group can gather — set it longer for weddings, where people arrive at the booth mid-conversation.
  3. Between shots is the gap for every frame after that. It can be shorter, because the group is already in place and looking at the camera.

Letting guests see each shot

Per-shot review shows each frame straight after it is taken, with the option to retake. Guests love it and it costs time.

Review hold is the safety net: how long that review waits before moving on by itself. Without it, one guest who walks away mid-session leaves the booth stuck for the next.
