Launch the booth

Hand the iPad to guests, and understand what they see from attract screen to thank you.

Launching the booth hands the iPad over to guests. Everything from here is designed to be used by someone who has never seen the app, at arm’s length, in bad light.

Start a session

  1. Open the event from Events.
  2. Tap Launch booth. The iPad switches to the guest experience and stays there.
  3. Prop it up and leave it. The attract screen invites the next guest; each session starts and ends on its own.

What a guest goes through

  • Attract — the idle screen. Touching it starts a session.
  • Template — only if the event offers more than one.
  • Capture — the shots the template calls for, with a countdown between each. The template decides how many; guests never choose a number.
  • Curate — picking favorites, if you enabled it for the event.
  • Effects — filters, stickers and backdrops.
  • Share — the strip prints, and guests enter an email or scan the code for their digital copies.

It keeps working without Wi-Fi

Capture, effects, the printed strip and the animation are all produced on the iPad. If the venue’s network drops, guests still shoot and still print — the digital delivery queues up and sends itself when the connection returns.
