Gallery, GIFs and retention
The cloud gallery, the automatic animation, and how long any of it survives.
Beyond the strip in a guest’s hand, an event produces a cloud gallery, an animation, and a queue that carries all of it out when the network allows.
The cloud gallery
SettingsSharingDelivery → Cloud gallery lets guests revisit the whole event’s gallery, not only their own session, for as long as the retention window lasts.
Auto GIF
Auto GIF builds an animation from the session’s shots and adds it to every bundle. It is a byproduct of the session rather than something guests choose — they shoot once and get both the strip and the clip.
Retention
Retention decides how long guests can revisit their photos before everything is deleted. It is set per event, under SettingsSharingDelivery → Keep photos for.
Your plan sets the longest window you can choose — Free up to 30 days, Starter up to 90, Pro up to a year — and you can pick anything shorter. A client who wants their guests’ data gone the next morning can have one day.
Changing plan does not rewrite history
The window is fixed when each session is captured, using the plan you were on at the time. Photos shot while you were on Pro keep the window they were promised even if you later downgrade — a plan change can never reach back and delete something a guest was told they had.
Sessions captured after a downgrade use the new, lower ceiling. If an event is still set to a window your plan no longer allows, the setting says so and names what those sessions will actually keep.
Guest contact details are separate
Email addresses and phone numbers are kept for exactly as long as the photos, and are deleted with them. They are only needed to deliver, so they live for as long as there is something to deliver and no longer.
That means the window you choose for photos is the window for contact details too. A shorter window deletes both sooner; a longer one keeps a guest reachable if they lose their link.
The offline queue
When the venue’s network drops, deliveries queue on the iPad and resume automatically once it reconnects. The queue is visible in the same Delivery section, so you can check what is outstanding rather than hoping.
