Change the language

Your screens and your guests' screens are set separately, on purpose.

Fotova has two language settings, and they are separate on purpose: the language you work in is rarely the language your guests read. An operator in Seoul running an English-speaking corporate event needs both at once.

Change them

  1. Open SettingsAppLanguage.
  2. Operator app sets the language of your screens — the event list, the template editor, settings.
  3. Booth sets the language guests see. Set it to your guests’, not yours.

Per event, when one event differs

The booth language above is this iPad’s default. An individual event can override it: open the event, then SettingsCaptureLanguage and set Guest language.

That is the setting to reach for when most of your work is in one language and a single event is not. It applies to that event on every iPad, where the device default applies to every event on one iPad.

Why your own language does not sync

The operator and booth languages are properties of the device in your hand, not of your account, so a second iPad run by a colleague keeps its own — which is what you want when two staff prefer different languages at the same event. The per-event guest language does travel with the event, because it describes the job rather than the device.
